During 2020 all NCI stations closed for two months at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. On re-opening most stations were single-crewed for the rest of the year.


Please note: NCI Canvey Island was previously know as NCI Holehaven and moved location on Monday 18 October 2021. All NCI Canvey Island Incident Summaries before that date will be in respect of NCI Holehaven at its previous location.

51153 10/09/2024 NCI Hengistbury Head Foil paddle boarder called NCI on Ch65, having capsized. Needles replied, called Hengistbury Head NCI, who confirmed visual. 51134 08/09/2024 NCI Needles HMCG issued Pan Pan re. motor launch, 4POB, with engine failure. NCI plotted position, and had visual. Yacht responded, but could not tow due to state of tide. 51074 03/09/2024 NCI Porthcawl May Day was issued by yacht, 2 POB, taking on water. NCI informed HMCG they had visual, and a FV was nearby. ILB tasked, crew boarded casualty with pump.
