4th May 2017. NCI Exmouth Station Manager Graham Nye recently presented an award to Hilary Lloyd for five years’ service as a watchkeeper. In the last three years she has qualified as a training officer, helping new volunteers make the grade.
Volunteer Valery Ayling was also presented with a certificate for completing her training and becoming a watchkeeper and Mr Nye awarded a certificate to Margaret Morris who has also qualified as a watchkeeper.
“These additional volunteers will enable Exmouth Coastwatch to increase the number of watches carried out over the busy summer period to provide greater safety for those using the beach and estuary,” Mr Nye said.
