During 2020 all NCI stations closed for two months at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. On re-opening most stations were single-crewed for the rest of the year.

57805 11/07/2026 NCI Fleetwood NCI observed 3 MOP at risk of being cut off by the tide. HMCG advised, monitoring requested. Casualties then walked back to shore. All safe. NCI No Yes

57814 11/07/2026 NCI Lee-on-the-Solent Object sighted from Lookout - suspected paddleboard, no crew visible. Contacted HMCG asked to monitor. CRT tasked. 57788 10/07/2026 NCI Portscatho HMCG called NCI re. report from a MOP of a paddle boarder in difficulty. NCI located casualty, who appeared to be fine, monitoring requested. Paddle board passed in front of lookout, and continued to , the beach, no assistance required. MCA/HMCG No Yes
57791 10/07/2026 NCI Porthcawl NCI reported to HMCG concern for 2 swimmers caught in a rip tide, reported by an MOP. NCI monitoring, ILB tasked, however when LB and CRT reached beach, the casualties had self rescued. NFA. MCA/HMCG Yes Yes

57799 10/07/2026 NCI Teignmouth NCI observed 2 youths tombstoning from rocks. HMCG informed. Life guards tasked to check welfare, and the two left the cliff and returned to their kayaks. All safe. NCI No Yes

57774 09/07/2026 NCI Felixstowe HMCG called NCI re. report of a paddle boarder in trouble. NCI initiated search - nothing seen. W/K went to beach and a fisherman told him a paddle boarder had come ashore 30 mins earlier. NFA. MCA/HMCG No Yes
57787 08/07/2026 NCI Porthcawl HMCG called NCI re. report from MOP of an inflatable, 2 POB, drifting out to sea. NCO located them and they appeared not to be distressed. CG asked NCI to monitor. CG then told NCI they had had a call, requesting help for the tow boys. ILB tasked, and advised CG they were out of danger, having drifted towards shore. Assets stood down. MCA/HMCG Yes Yes

57771 08/07/2026 NCI Folkestone NCI observed 3 persons tombstoning off the pier. HMCG informed, who informed Harbour authority. Then up to 20 joined in. Incident was ongoing when lookout closed. NCI No Yes
57780 05/07/2026 NCI Torbay HMCG asked NCI for visual on 3-4 jet skis, after report from MOP of them being ridden by parents with young children aboard without lifejackets. Monitoring requested. Visual difficult. Harbour Master , then reported they had located jet skis, and offered safety advice. MCA/HMCG No Yes
57726 05/07/2026 NCI Exmouth HMCG received a report of a broken down jet ski, visual requested. NCI initieted a search, but saw nothing, A MOP confirmed the jet ski was safely ashore. NFA. MCA/HMCG No Yes
57728 05/07/2026 NCI Worms Head HMCG called NCI re. a report of 6 swimmers struggling, NCI asked to investigate. W/K confirmed 4 were on the head, and 1 still in the water, floating on their back. CG updated. CRT and ILB tasked. LB , established 5 were on Worms Head, and 1 had swum ashore. Casualties happy to stay until the causeway reopened. MCA/HMCG Yes Yes
57733 05/07/2026 NCI Southend A fishing vessel called HMCG with electrical problems. Pan Pan issued. CG called NCI requesting visual, negative, but NCI were monitoring comms. ILB tasked, and vessel taken under tow to port, NCI , monitored progress. 4 POB, all safe. MCA/HMCG Yes Yes
57734 05/07/2026 NCI Calshot Tower NCI heard radio comms from a yacht with engine failure. HMCG advised NCI had visual. A RIB and a harbour patrol vessel attended, and casualty was towed to safety, eventually by Sea Start. NCI Yes Yes
57736 05/07/2026 NCI Exmouth NCI observed a paddle boarder whose board had drifted away on the tide. Life Guards were informed, they recovered casualty on a PWC, and board was recovered by second paddle boarder. NCI No Yes
57753 05/07/2026 NCI Calshot Tower HMCG tasked ILB to a person who had fallen off an inflatable being towed by a jet ski. NCI advised LB that a person was receiving CPR on the beach. W/K attended with a defibrillator, and casualty was , treated by LB crew and W/K, until CRT and police arrived. HELO attended, and casualty was taken by road ambulance with police escort. 57779 05/07/2026 NCI Torbay NCI responded to a May Day relay from marina. ILB tasked to investigate. Vessel involved was located, visited by ILB, and discovered the alert had been activated unknowingly by crew. MCA/HMCG Yes Yes
57716 04/07/2026 NCI Felixstowe MOP called NCI re. a jet ski harassing swimmers close to the shore. NCI established visual, and called the police. The jet ski moved away, police attended. NCI No No
57735 04/07/2026 NCI Folkestone NCI informed HMCG an adult was tombstoning into harbour, and that a police car was nearby. More people then joined the original tombstoner. NCI also informed the harbour office. CG requested an , update - now 10 people participating. All perpetrators then left, CG updated. NCI No Yes
57701 02/07/2026 NCI Swanage MOP called NCI re. concern for a jet ski in the bay, possible engine trouble. HMCG informed, monitoring requested. Jat ski dod not appear to be in troube, as occupant was fishing, was wearing lifejack, CG updated, NFA. MCA/HMCG No Yes
57709 02/07/2026 NCI Teignmouth A MOP reported to NCI a bike and full set of clothes unattended near the lookout. No swimmer was seen, HMCG and Police informed. CRT tasked to investigate. Owner of the items then appeared, , having been for a walk. NFA NCI No Yes

57694 02/07/2026 NCI Mundesley MOP fell heavily near lookout, temporarily lost consciousness. Other MOP rang for an ambulance. casualty was attended by MsOP, NCI W/K and an off duty ambulance crew. Serious injuries, but casualty, was cleared to be driven to hospital. Dog taken home by a relative. Ambulance No No
57677 01/07/2026 NCI Worms Head NCI observed a kayaker in moderate seas, then lost sight of them. HMCG informed, CRT tasked to investigate, monitoring requested. A MOP informed NCI the casualty was safely ashore, CG updated. NCI No Yes

57676 29/06/2026 NCI Prawle Point NCI observed a yacht, in poor condition, passing lookout, and then collided with a local fishing vessel. HMCG informed, skipper of fishing vessel asked if NCI had witnessed incident. Confirmed. , F.V skipper supplied name of yacht skipper, which was passed to CG. Incident reported to crimes toppers, but no interest was shown. NCI No Yes

57722 28/06/2026 NCI Calshot Tower NCI observed an unmanned jet ski, with second jet ski nearby. A vessel radioed for an ambulance for an injured jet skier, who was on board their vessel. NCI advised HMCG they had visual. Casualty was , taken to the pier, ILB tasked and crew boarded vessel to attend casualty and transfer them to the LB station. Ambulance and HELO attended casualty, who had a suspected broken leg. MCA/HMCG Yes Yes
57643 28/06/2026 NCI Shoreham MOP reported a missing kayaker to NCI. HMCG informed, continued search requested. NCI established visual at beach, Casualty turned up safe and well, CG updated. NCI No Yes
57647 28/06/2026 NCI Folkestone NCI observed 2 adults and 3 children jumping off a concrete apron into the sea, children having difficulty getting back out of the water. HMCG informed, monitoring requested. Group then left the beach, CG updated. NFA NCI No Yes
57598 27/06/2026 NCI Padstow HMCG tasked harbour patrol vessel to assist 3 boys reported stranded on a sand spit. NCI established visual and assured CG they were not in peril. Boys then swam ashore, All safe. MCA/HMCG No Yes
