12 Feb 2011 - For the first time in recent years NCI will be exhibiting at a major boat show. Thanks to the generosity of the organisers, Ocean Media Group, NCI will have its own stand number 1395 in the Boating Hall at the Boat & Caravan Show at the NEC, scheduled to run from Tuesday 23 February until Sunday 27 February.

Despite being about as far from the coast as you can get, the Boat & Caravan Show has become increasingly popular over the past ten years with members of the public from far and wide as well as from the Midlands, and that interest is reflected in the ever increasing number of boating exhibitors.

The show, located at the NEC in Birmingham, could be to NCI’s advantage in terms of raising its profile in an area where it is likely to be almost unknown.

A team of NCI volunteers will man the stand on a rota basis, providing information and handing out literature, recruiting Shorewatch members and there will be a large collecting box on the stand too of course.

Thanks to the generosity of the Caravan Club and the Alan Rogers Campsite Guides who have provided several exceptionally nice prizes there will be a daily raffle to raise money for the Charity and it is hoped that visitors to this very popular show will take in NCI’s stand number 1395 in the Boating Hall for a chat.
