10th July 2019. The volunteers of the National Coastwatch Institution station at Hengistbury Head reach the dizzy heights of TV stardom

Today Meridian TV presenter Richard Slee and his camera crew came and did some filming with the volunteer watchkeepers.  A spokesperson for the National Coastwatch Institution station said “It was actually a full day’s filming on Hengistbury Head as a whole but, obviously, we were the star attraction!  Both Ed Essery, in his role as Deputy Station Manager, and one of our trainee Watchkeepers, Adele Orr, were interviewed and we have been told that it will be aired as part of the ITV Meridian program at 18:00 any day from next Tuesday (16th July) onwards. So keep your eyes peeled if you’re in the Meridian TV region”.
