25 May 2008 NCI Rame Head celebrated its tenth anniversary in style on 25 May at an excellent celebration lunch attended by some 50 members and their families at the Whitsand Bay Hotel. During the festivities, NCI Chairman Jon Gifford presented ten year service awards to eleven of Rame Head’s current watchkeepers complementing them on such generosity of service. Medals were awarded to Simon Peirson, Ian Chillas, Roy Selly, Andrew Lockett, Hugh Clarke-Lens and Jimmy James, Mandy Baker, Brian Oates and Janet Lockett, Ivor Nicholls and Brian Jones. A special award was also given to founder member Ian Chillas by Station Manager Peter Creber who acknowledged his valuable work in setting up the station. Congratulations to all concerned in contributing towards yet another milestone in the progress and development of NCI.
