1 October 2012 A memorable Service of Re-dedication took place at the Stepper Point Lookout on Thursday 27th September. On the afternoon, the weather was kind to all the friends of Stepper who attended the service which was conducted by fellow watchkeeper Canon Michael Fisher.
The assembled company, including station volunteers (pictured right), was warmly welcomed by Station Manager Richard Wilson and, following the service, the tape “re-opening” the station was cut by NCI Chairman, Alan Richards assisted by Richard Wilson (pictured below).
An impressive evening reception followed at nearby Prideaux Place, kindly hosted by Peter Prideaux-Brune, a very supportive Patron of Stepper Point. At the reception, attended by many more friends and supporters of NCI, watchkeeper Martin Bishop gave a faultless presentation on the history of Stepper Point.
