IN THE SUMMERTIME, WHEN THE WEATHER IS HOT, NCI CAISTER WILL BE THERE FOR YOU

28th June 2017. Like many of their colleagues, the watchkeepers at NCI Caister are extending their watch hours over the school holidays to increase public safety at this popular holiday destination.

From 1 July until the end of September, in order to cover beach safety surveillance, NCI Caister  will operate a 3-watch system will operate between the hours of 0900 until 1900 hours. This will be primarily at the weekends, which see an increase in visitors when local working parents and guardians are free to escort their children to the seaside, along with other holiday-makers visiting the resort.

NCI operates a ‘hierarchy of vulnerability’ procedure whereby susceptible beach and foreshore users are observed for any risk or danger that may befall them. Such scenarios include, children tunnelling in the sand dunes or aboard airbeds blowing out to sea, swimmers in difficulty or sports enthusiasts in distress.

NCI Caister wishes everyone a happy and safe summer
