The National Coastwatch Institution is a registered Charity (reg. no. 1159975) established in 1994 to provide visual lookouts around the UK coastline to assist with the preservation of life at sea and along our shores.
The charity is staffed entirely by volunteers, and is completely self-funded, relying on generous public support and corporate sponsorship to enable us to continue to expand the number of lookout stations we operate around the UK coastline.
Each station costs at least £5000-£6000 per annum to run, and there is a constant need for funds for maintenance, new equipment and the cost of basic utilities.
Please consider making a donation to help us carry on with this vital work, assisting HM Coastguard to make our inshore waters and shorelines safe for everyone.
If you wish to make a donation by post, please make your cheque payable to NCI Liskeard, and send it to the postal address in the Contact section below.
If you are a UK taxpayer, please consider completing a Gift Aid statement. By doing so, you will allow us to claim an additional 25% of your donation from the government.
Please note that if you pay less income tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in any given tax year you will be responsible to pay any difference to HMRC.
Please notify the Charity if you:
1. wish to cancel this declaration;
2. change your name or home address;
3. no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.
NB If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your SA tax return or ask HMRC to adjust your tax code.
