During 2020 all NCI stations closed for two months at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. On re-opening most stations were single-crewed for the rest of the year.


Please note: NCI Canvey Island was previously know as NCI Holehaven and moved location on Monday 18 October 2021. All NCI Canvey Island Incident Summaries before that date will be in respect of NCI Holehaven at its previous location.

39147 22/08/2021 NCI Nells Point 2 MOP seen on island, also 2 fishermen. HMCG advised. ILB and CRT tasked. ILB did sweep of island, confirmed no casualties and fishermen intended staying for duration of high water. NCI Yes Yes

39123 21/08/2021 NCI Calshot Tower HMCG phoned NCI re. small vessel aground. NCI already had under observation. 2 POB on deck not in distress. Vessel freed itself and proceeded under power. MCA/HMCG No Yes
39278 20/08/2021 NCI Mablethorpe Police requested NCI assistance in looking for MOP. target sighted, I/D confirmed, Police leave with MOP in vehicle. Police No Yes
