During 2020 all NCI stations closed for two months at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. On re-opening most stations were single-crewed for the rest of the year.


Please note: NCI Canvey Island was previously know as NCI Holehaven and moved location on Monday 18 October 2021. All NCI Canvey Island Incident Summaries before that date will be in respect of NCI Holehaven at its previous location.

43102 04/08/2022 NCI Moelfre Off duty W/Ks saw AWLB heading out. They opened station, scanned area and spotted suspicious object. Contact made with LB, who were responding to report of inflatable adrift. 42964 04/08/2022 NCI Exmouth NCI was contacted by vessel to advise engine failure and drifting. HMCG informed, and requested any vessel in area to assist. Passing dinghy undertook tow towards marina, CG informed NCI No Yes 025715
42958 03/08/2022 NCI Porthcawl HMCG contacted NCI re. life raft drifting off bay. Visual requested. No sighting by NCI, CRT attended and found craft had washed up on beach. Craft believed to have washed off boat. MCA/HMCG No Yes 025417
42934 03/08/2022 NCI Cromer HMCG asked NCI to observe a yacht off the pier. vessel had possibly hit the pier/slip. Vessel was afloat and no sign of damage. Vessel moved away then snagged a crab pot line. Local crab boat offered , help. Vessel then moved away under power and logged off by NCI. MCA/HMCG No Yes 025416

42896 01/08/2022 NCI Nells Point Following call from MOP, HMCG asked all vessels to assist paddle boarder in difficulty. NCI asked CG to confirm location as they had seen paddle boarder making slow progress. NCI confirmed this PB was, no longer in danger. CRT contacted that one.
