PAWS HELP FOR ST ALBANS HEAD

28th June 2016. The St Albans Head lookout is situated on a windswept headland, which is a feature of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. The headland is part of the Encombe Estate, which is owned by Mr James Gaggero, who is an enthusiastic supporter of the work of the NCI and often visits ‘his’ lookout.

Purbeck Arts Week (PAWs) is an annual event which promotes art and concerts with the final concert of the event taking place at Encombe House. In return for his hospitality, the PAWs organisers invite Mr Gaggero to nominate the charity to which a portion of the funds raised by the event is to be given. Last year, Mr Gaggero nominated NCI St Albans Head and, to the delight of the St Albans team, has done so once again this year. At the request of Mr Gaggero and Mr Brown, this is a restricted donation, so the St Albans Head Steering Group is currently reviewing suitable projects to which the donation will be allocated.
