LOCAL HOTEL RAISES MONEY FOR NCI CAPE CORNWALL

6th March 2017. NCI Cape Cornwall have received a nice new year surprise from a local hotel in Moushole near Newlyn.

The Old Coastguard Hotel in Mousehole is part of the Eat Drink Sleep Group along with hotels in Zennor and Hay-On Wye and each year, the hotels put aside 10% of their sales of gift vouchers sold in December and divide the money raised between three local charities, decided by the individual hotel. This year The Old Coastguard Hotel designated NCI Cape Cornwall as its Christmas charity.

Having raised £1500, the hotel group invited representatives from Cornwall Hospice Care and NCI Cape Cornwall to come and receive a cheque for £500 each (the third charity, Cancer Research Wales received their donation at their local hotel).

Station Manager Jonathan Rothwell from NCI Cape Cornwall said “We are very grateful to everyone at The Old Coastguard for their generosity in raising this money for us. It means a great deal to us as a local charity to receive support from local businesses and this incredible donation will go a long way towards covering our annual running costs. Our thanks go to the customers and staff at the Old Coastguard”
