11th June 2021. Volunteers from the Gosport National Coastwatch Institution station are among those working for free to administer Covid-19 vaccinations in Portsmouth.
Retired anaesthetist and NCI Gosport Station Manager, Chris Aps, has been administering vaccines to patients once a week since March and has encouraged others to help.
Mr Apps, who has recently been elected to the charity’s Board of Trustees, said: "The NCI is a big organisation that is dedicated to the preservation of life and helping with the vaccines is basically an extension of that”.
