Incident Summary:
Pan Pan was issued by a motor vessel with engine problems. NCI saw nothing at given position, however did see a vessel nearby travelling very slowly and with exhaust visible. Correct position given.
NCI advised HMCG of corrected position, monitoring requested. CG spoke with vessels crew, and agreed to downgrade Pan Pan, and monitor progress, NCI stood down.
