NEW VISITOR CENTRE AT NCI TORBAY

4 September 2014 – A new Visitor Centre has been opened at Torbay, Devon. Situated beside the NCI Torbay lookout at Daddyhole Plain, Torquay, the Centre was opened by Captain Henry Duffy (pictured), Commanding Officer of Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.

The Centre, funded by a substantial Lottery grant, will be open 365 days a year and includes working radar, CCTV and interactive systems that allow visitors to see what is happening along the coast and in the bay. It also provides a history of Torbay in pictures and has already attracted considerable interest from coastal walkers and holidaymakers.

NCI Torbay has been open since May 2009.
