During 2020 all NCI stations closed for two months at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. On re-opening most stations were single-crewed for the rest of the year.


Please note: NCI Canvey Island was previously know as NCI Holehaven and moved location on Monday 18 October 2021. All NCI Canvey Island Incident Summaries before that date will be in respect of NCI Holehaven at its previous location.

43460 05/09/2022 NCI Rhoscolyn MOP informed NCI that an elderly lady had fallen, possible broken ankle. HMCG informed, CRT tasked. family car not accessible, so W/K drove casualty to hospital, as ambulance ETA 3-6 hours. NCI No Yes
43425 04/09/2022 NCI Newhaven MOP informed NCI a paraglider was trapped in brambles. W/K left lookout to assist, HMCG informed. CRT tasked, but casualty was freed by friends. NFA. NCI No Yes

IR43384 01/09/2022 NCI Caister Report of unattended bags of clothing on beach for considerable time, but no-one in sight.HMCG notified police and CRT. shortly before there arrival on scene, bags were collected by owner. NFA NCI No Yes
IR43387 01/09/2022 NCI Hengistbury Head HMCG asked for visual search for owner of clothing and paddle board pump on beach. Confirmed two people with inflatable p/board at waterline. They ater collected clothes and left. MCA/HMCG No Yes
IR43389 01/09/2022 NCI Hengistbury Head Heard PanPan from drifting yacht. HMCG requested we we keep eyes on casualty. Updated HMCG with new position and advised second yacht attempting to establish a tow. HMCG requested station to stay open, and maintain watch. Tow established and casualty towed toward harbour. HMCG again requested that watch is maintained during tow. Later reported that casualty was safely in harbour and stood down , with thanks by HMCG MCA/HMCG No Yes
IR43392 01/09/2022 NCI Shoreham HMCG called report of windsurfer in difficulty. Nothing visible from lookout. HMCG later called and stood NCI and ILB down as windsurfer seen safe ashore. MCA/HMCG No Yes
43360 31/08/2022 NCI Prawle Point Boat seen by witness, at anchor, no-one on board. CRT investigated, food, clothes found on board. Local sailing club had no knowledge of vessel. CRT stood down. MCA/HMCG No Yes
