During 2020 all NCI stations closed for two months at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. On re-opening most stations were single-crewed for the rest of the year.


Please note: NCI Canvey Island was previously know as NCI Holehaven and moved location on Monday 18 October 2021. All NCI Canvey Island Incident Summaries before that date will be in respect of NCI Holehaven at its previous location.

53008 07/04/2025 NCI Porthcawl NCI observed 2 paddle boarders possibly in difficulty against an ebbing tide. HMCG informed, monitoring requested. 53007 06/04/2025 NCI Porthcawl HMCG tasked CRT re. surfers in difficulty, NCI asked to carry out a visual search, no-one in difficulty seen, but 2 MOP were seen possibly cut off by tide, but with an ebbing tide, would soon be able , to walk out. 52952 06/04/2025 NCI Nells Point Police approached NCI re. vulnerable person, asked to report if seen. HELO searching, HMCG informed. Police then reported casualty had been found alive. Police No Yes PO7316
52953 06/04/2025 NCI Hengistbury Head May Day issued re. 2 jetskis which had collided at harbour entrance. NCI informed HMCG they had visual. May Day then downgraded to Pan Pan, and all jet skis then managed to self rescue to quay. MCA/HMCG No Yes 009982
52973 06/04/2025 NCI Exmouth NCI observed a jetski drifting in channel, Lifeguards informed who went to investigate. Engine failure confirmed, HMCG informed and ILB tasked. @ casualties recovered and jets towed to slipway. NCI Yes Yes 009989

52925 04/04/2025 NCI St Alban's Head Yacht issued Pan Pan due to engine failure, and problem with mainsail. Skipper had lifejacket but no life raft. NCI had logged vessel and had visual, CG informed. 52868 01/04/2025 NCI Gwennap Head NCI heard Pan Pan from a yacht anchored in rough seas, crew abandoning vessel for safety. No response so W/K issued a Pan Pan relay. CH tasked AWLB and CRT. 52859 30/03/2025 NCI Folkestone NCI observed a sloop moving slowly out of harbour, using oars, main mast lowered. Anchored but not holding. HMCG informed. F V passed close by but occupant showed no interest. Second vessel aprroached, casualty, and occupant was not in distress, and intended to beach when tide was low. CG updated. 52817 29/03/2025 NCI Canvey Island HMCG tasked ILB following report of person in water, having fallen from a speedboat. Casualty clinging to groin was seen by NCI, CG informed. ILB recovered casualty, who had swallowed sea water and , was vomiting. Casualty was met by ambulance, and treated as they were in pain and not very responsive. 52823 29/03/2025 NCI Hengistbury Head NCI observed a RIB hit rocks, and was then washed off but drifting. HMCG informed, and advised same vessel had previously gone aground. Vessel eventually started one engine, but appeared to have , damaged the prop. Vessel very slowly moved towards quay and tied up. CG informed that all was safe. NCI No Yes 008762
52826 29/03/2025 NCI Southend NCI observed 2 MOP on wreck of Mulberry harbour. HMCG informed. ILB tasked, and CRT informed. 2 kayakers were then seen by wreck, and a search by ILB revealed no other persons. Assets stood down NCI Yes Yes 008730
