During 2020 all NCI stations closed for two months at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. On re-opening most stations were single-crewed for the rest of the year.

54495 09/08/2025 NCI Boscastle NCI observed a yacht, in adverse conditions, potentially heading for harbour, which would not be navigable due to tide. HMCG informed, who attempted to contact vessel without success. Vessel then, changed course, raised its foresail, and proceeded on its way. NFA. NCI No Yes
54504 09/08/2025 NCI Teignmouth NCI observed 2 paddle boarders being carried out to sea on offshore wind. LGs informed, HMCG aware. LGs launch jetski, and tow casualties to beach. All safe. NCI No Yes
54505 09/08/2025 NCI Filey NCI observed a paddle boarder fall off and was unable to regain board. HMCG informed, LGs set out on board to rescue casualty. Casualty did manage to return to the beach unaided, all well. NCI No Yes
54508 09/08/2025 NCI Shoreham HMCG called NCI re. report from MOP of a small boat, 3 POB, drifting. NCI established visual, and occupants were fishing, no issues. CG updated. MCA/HMCG No Yes
54481 08/08/2025 NCI Brancaster NCI observed 3 children on island, about to be cut off by tide. HMCG informed, monitoring requested. All three children realised they were cut off, and swam back to shore. No injuries. NCI No Yes
54482 08/08/2025 NCI Brancaster MOP informed NCI a person was taking surreptitious photos of young girls. Police informed, and asked NCI to keep a watch for perpetrator. No further sightings were made . NFA NCI No Yes
54489 08/08/2025 NCI Rhoscolyn MOP approached NCI for assistance for a climber, who had fallen and was still attached to his rope. The casualty had managed to clamber back up the cliff. HMCG informed, CRT tasked. Casualty was , short of breath with rib pain. It was decided his colleagues would transport him to hospital by car. CG updated. NCI No Yes
54491 08/08/2025 NCI Charmouth MOP reported to NCI a lost child. He was walking on coast path without a phone. HMCG informed, advised to report to Police. Police informed, then mother reported to NCI child had been found safe. , CG and Police updated. NCI No Yes

54459 06/08/2025 NCI Teignmouth May Day issued by cabin cruiser, smoke from engine compartment, 3 POB. HMCG responded. Nearby vessel responded, confirmed prop fouled on crab pot and engine overheated. No fire. CG called NCI , requesting visual - confirmed but distant. Weather conditions supplied. ILB tasked, F.V attended and removed crab pot and took casualty under tow. ILB arrived, transferred crew, and towed vessel to , safety of port. MCA/HMCG Yes Yes
54461 06/08/2025 NCI Torbay NCI observed a paddle boarder, no buoyancy aid, fall off board. HMCG informed, monitoring requested. Casualty managed to sit on board, then moved out of sight. CRT tasked, and established visual. , CRT made contact with casualty, still out of sight of NCI, who was by then on beach. Apparently he had been snorkelling, giving the impression he was unconscious. All safe. NCI No Yes
54462 06/08/2025 NCI Hengistbury Head NCI observed a kite surfer unable to remount board. NCI called HMCG and suggested ILB, which was on exercise, check on casualty. LB found casualty to be fine, NFA. NCI Yes Yes
54448 06/08/2025 NCI Rame Head MOP reported to NCI a person had collapsed on coast path. HMCG informed, CRT tasked. Visual via camera established. Ambulance arrived, CRT attended casualty, and helped them to the ambulance. , Casualty taken to hospital by ambulance. NCI No Yes
54450 06/08/2025 NCI St Agnes Head Pan Pan from RIB, 2POB, with loss of engine power. NCI established visual, HMCG informed, monitoring requested. ILB and AWLB tasked, ILB undertook initial tow, and then passed on to AWLB. , NCI updated CG. MCA/HMCG Yes Yes
54451 06/08/2025 NCI Gosport NCI observed a Man Overboard from a yacht entering harbour. Casualty had a lifejacket. HMCG informed. Second vessel recovered casualty, CG informed. CG HELO was in area but not required. , Ambulance met casualty at marina. NCI No Yes
54452 06/08/2025 NCI Lee-on-the-Solent MOP informed NCI a truck and trailer with jets on was driving at speed on the beach, with concern for life. W/K attended and spoke to driver, and Police were informed. Police arrived, vehicle had left, and jets refused to come ashore. HMCG informed of incident. Marine police were tasked. Apparently this was one of several incidents with this vehicle, and jetski. Police seized vehicle and jetski. NCI No Yes

54430 04/08/2025 NCI Porthcawl LGs tried to call NCI but call inaudible. HMCG had been informed of a swimmer in difficulty, ILB tasked. CG asked NCI to search area, and during search CG rang to say swimmer had been located., Casualty had become separated from others and self rescued. LB cancelled. RNLI Yes Yes
54378 03/08/2025 NCI Shoreham NCI observed a capsized catamaran, with crew in water and having difficulty righting vessel. HMCG informed, ILB tasked, and LB asked NCI for an update. Casualty vessel was towed to harbour by ILB., It was then handed over to sailing club boat. All safe. NCI Yes Yes
54390 03/08/2025 NCI Swanage Pan Pan was issued by a yacht with engine failure, requesting assistance to enter harbour. Vessel continued under sail. NCI informed HMCG they had visual, monitoring requested. Casualty was lost to, view from NCI, but was towed to harbour by a second vessel. MCA/HMCG No Yes

54403 03/08/2025 NCI Portland Bill HMCG called NCI re. report from naval vessel of an unmanned sailing vessel, which appeared to be drifting. NCI established visual, AWLB tasked to attend. NCI kept CG updated. LB located vessel, and , confirmed it was a vessel which had broken its mooring 2 days ago. LB put crew aboard, and towed to harbour and safety. MCA/HMCG Yes Yes
54414 03/08/2025 NCI Needles May Day issued by motor cruiser, with engine failure on one of its two engines. vessel tried to head to harbour, alert downgraded to Pan Pan. HMCG requested visual from NCI, but nothing seen by NCI. , NCI requested CG check position, which was then given accurately. Casualty continued to safety of harbour on one engine. MCA/HMCG No Yes
54375 02/08/2025 NCI Exmouth NCI observed a paddle boarder plus child, no lifejackets, heading out on outgoing tide. HMCG advised. NCI continued to monitor until paddle boarders returned to shore. NFA. NCI No Yes
54376 02/08/2025 NCI Shoreham As NCI opened lookout, the AWLB was being launched to a sinking vessel. 2 persons in the water. HMCG informed NCI had visual. LB recovered casualties, and transferred them to a waiting ambulance. , A fishing vessel reported sunken hull was just below surface. Marker buoy was placed in position until hull could be recovered. 54389 02/08/2025 NCI Swanage HMCGtasked ILB to a paddle boarder in difficulty. NCI informed CG they had visual. ILB unable to locate casualty, advised to call NCI for position. 54361 02/08/2025 NCI Fleetwood LGs called NCI with concern for 2 MOP + dogs on sands. NCI had been monitoring and was becoming concerned. HMCG called NCI for update, casualties not showing much concern. Casualties tried to , wade ashore, but water too deep . ILB tasked, crew had to wade to casualties. 54364 02/08/2025 NCI Felixstowe Motor vessel issued Pan Pan, 3 POB, with engine failure. NCI plotted position and informed HMCG they had visual. No sign of distress, CG asked NCI to monitor. ILB tasked, overshot vessel, and were , conned to casualty by NCI. ILB took vessel under tow to port. MCA/HMCG No Yes
54400 01/08/2025 NCI Froward Point Pan Pan issued re. yacht at river mouth with engine failure. Under sail but assistance needed to enter harbour, 2 POB. NCI had visual, and verified position, CG updated. Second vessel went to assist, and took casualty under tow. vessel was safely towed into harbour. MCA/HMCG No Yes
54418 01/08/2025 NCI Polruan NCI observed a yacht in difficulty, no engine or sails, crew waving arms. HMCG informed, position advised. Pan Pan issued. Second yacht responds and commences tow to harbour. At the harbour, mouth, tow was taken over by harbour patrol. Pan pan canceled. NCI No Yes

54356 01/08/2025 NCI Worms Head MOP reporter to NCI a person was on causeway with a suspected broken ankle. NCI investigated, and informed HMCG. CRT tasked. Casualties parent, a doctor, diagnoses a probable sprain. , CRT recovered casualty on a stretcher, for forward transfer to hospital by car. NCI No Yes
54540 01/08/2025 NCI Padstow NCI observed a paddle board, 3 POB, heading into potential danger. HMCG and harbour patrol were contacted. Harbour patrol RIB went to check on casualties. Casualties refused assistance, said they , were going to empty water from board. Patrol shadowed them back to safety, and NCI monitored until safely on beach. NCI No Yes
54359 01/08/2025 NCI Lyme Bay NCI observed a person in water, struggling to get back to paddle board, falling tide and offshore wind. Second person entered water to help, but not making headway. HMCG informed, CRT tasked. Third, person then swam out to help. Two others swam out to help, and all reached shallow water. CG updated, CRT checked all out. NCI No Yes
54350 31/07/2025 NCI Porthcawl NCI observed a casualty being carried out of water, LGs assisting. HMCG informed, LGs carried out CPR, and requested HELO. CRT tasked. NCI gave weather update. HELO arrived on beach, paramedics , attended casualty, Second HELO (CG ) also arrived at beach, along with Police. Sadly, casualty was declared deceased, and was taken by CRT to ambulance. 54327 30/07/2025 NCI Folkestone NCI observed a wind surfer I difficulty, HMCG informed. CG tried to call Fishing vessel to ask to help. Casualty still struggling, ILB and CRT tasked. NCI then updated CG - casualty was wading towards, the beach, CRT met casualty, who was uninjured. NFA NCI Yes Yes
